Taiwan‘s overall quality of healthcare is one of best in the world according to the best affordability and quality
The Division of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, Taiwan is internationally recognized for its cutting-edge technology and academic excellence in reconstructive microsurgery. The Division of Reconstructive Microsurgery won the Gold Plate of Symbols National Quality (Safety and Quality) in 2010. It is one of the renown institutions of the Center for Lymphedema Microsurgery in the world that concentrates on lymphedema management for both primary cancer-related lymphedemas. Its leading innovation in lymphedema treatments with vascularized lymph node flap transfer has helped innumerable lymphedema patients recover from this disease and resume quality of life.
For over 18 years, the Center for Lymphedema Microsurgery has led and been well known for the technology of microsurgically transferring the vascularized lymph node flap to the lymphedema limb. The transferred lymph node flap is vascularized with effective lymphatic drainage by acting as an motor pumping lymph fluids back to the venous system. The vascularized lymph node flap works continuously. The edematous status is progressively improved with the catchment and gravity effects. This preeminent, unique technique globally not only attracts patients for treatments, but also microsurgeons who desire to learn this technique.
The Center for Lymphedema Microsurgery is staffed with well-trained, certified nurses for intensive postoperative flap monitoring and post-microsurgery care to ensure the best post-operative outcomes.
