Collaborating with Dr. Chieh-Tsai Wu, a well-known neurosurgeon, we had successfully performed an extracranial-to-intracranial arterial bypass on a one-year-old child. The superficial temporal artery (1 mm in diameter) was repaired to the left middle cerebral artery (0.8 mm in diameter) in an end-to-side fashion by using 11-0 Nylon.
