I have appreciated the opportunity to give a virtual visiting professor lecture for UCLA today. It brought back memories of the training I took with Dr. William Shaw for one month in 1999. Today’s course is a general introduction of lymphedema microsurgery that covers topics including clinical evaluation, image diagnosis, lymphatic severity grading, VLNT, and LVA patient selection, surgical techniques, long-term outcomes, and mechanism of vascularized lymph node transfer. I wanted to thank Drs. Andrew Da Lio, Justine Lee, and Jessica Chang for their excellent management of the conference. It was my pleasure to be there and to share what I have been doing with a group of outstanding residents and faculty.
